In Your Head
So I think we’ve spent enough time trying to show home owners how to protect themselves against criminals. I mean, really, you’re either gonna protect yourself or your not.
Hopefully home owners realize that you don’t have to be a target to get robbed, you don’t have to be rich to be a target, and you don’t have to be gone long to get hit.
There are three attitudes people take towards security. Let’s list those first;
- It will never happen to me
- Bad things always happen to me (just my luck)
- Everyone is out to get me always
None of the above is true.
IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN TO ME
This is entirely possible, but it is far from definite. There is always a possibility you will be broken into.
Here’s the thing, folks; we live in the Region of Waterloo. Is it a dangerous area? No, but it does have growing issues with violent crime, an extreme uptick in break and enters from 2017 to 2018 (18%), and a problematic drug addiction issue. Really, we’re ripe to be totally worked over, and there’s a better chance than ever that you could be one of the ones being hit.
Forget your crazy ex, your ungrateful kids, your ridiculous siblings or friendly neighborhood beggar. The ones coming for your house have no idea who you are and they don’t care. They want money, and you have stuff that can make that happen. You are not immune.
BAD THINGS ALWAYS HAPPEN TO ME (JUST MY LUCK)
Ok first of all… shut up. Bad things happen to everyone. Everyone. You know what also happens to everyone? Good things. Your drama is ridiculous.
Second of all, if you know bad things always happen to you, how about adding a level of protection so there’s less of a chance as bad of a bad thing will happen to you? See the logic?
Let’s do that. Come in, tell us the problem, we’ll help with what we can and hopefully get you the path to being less bad-thing prone.
EVERYONE IS OUT TO GET ME. ALWAYS
Ok so usually it’s not everyone, although it can feel that way. Most people are not, in fact, out to get you. If you feel this way, you need help we cannot provide. We will, however, do our best to make sure you feel as secure as possible.
Sometimes adding one or two layers of security is enough. Sometimes people need more.
