Taking a Break
FYI, there are apparently new processing rules for interest rates on credit cards. Did you know that? I didn’t know that.
Well. I didn’t know that until about 50,000,000 different processing companies called and told me they just wanted to make sure we were taking advantage of the new rates.
Let’s answer these questions right here;
- Yep we are
- No we won’t switch
- Yes, you are trying to sell something
- No, we won’t switch
- Absolutely, you can try again on Saturday
- I’ll be here
- Promise
- No we won’t switch
- I’m at work, but if you give me your home number I’ll be happy to talk more about this
- I’ll even come by and give you a free quote…where do you live?
- No we won’t switch
- Yes, you are trying to sell something
- No
- No
- No
- No
- Yes, you are trying to sell something
It’s a small business thing. You understand. Thank you for listening to my rant.
The reality behind the phone call, of course, is that the rates between processing companies do not vary. At all. The deal they are offering is no different than the one you have. And really, unless we all sign up under the same company, the % change in savings won’t even be noticeable by most small businesses. You know this. We all know this.
What does this have to do with security? I could make a whole lot of tie ins that you may or may not believe but the truth is…
Nothing. That’s why this is called taking a break.
